The memorial will be in Washington, D.C., on the mall between the Washington and Lincoln monuments. This is a $100 million project and if donations continue at the present rate, the cornerstone should be laid this coming Memorial Day and hopefully it will be completed at the end of 2001.

     It is long overdue and while many of us may not be around when it is completed, remember that this memorial will be our legacy to future generations.
