Wijers' third book is now available

Hans Wijers, a researcher of World War II battlefields, has released the third volume on the North Shoulder, "The Battle of the Bulge: The Hell at Butgenbach," now is available for sale.

This book documents the story of the 1st Infantry Division sector against the attacking German 12th SS Panzer Division.

The 192-page book is full of eyewitness accounts, "now and then" photos, as well as never-published photos from after the battle that tells the story of the "hot corner."

The foreword is written by 1st Lt. August T. Maccolgan, company commander, G Company, 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division.

The book also contains first-person stories from German adversaries.
