Verification needed

I was with 393rd Regimental Headquarters as a radio operator. While on maneuvers in Mississippi, Lousiana, and Texas, my left ear was perforated by the muzzle blast from the 105 howitzer they moved in our area.

I was selected to go to Africa but failed the physical and was declared unfit for combat duty. This took place in Paris TX.

I need someone to verify this event and I am searching for the Meutzel twins from Columbus OH. Thanks for your efforts to help me with my claim with the VA.
