Van Dorn museum needs 99th support years ago
The newly opened World War II museum at Centreville MS, is a tribute to the 99th Infantry Division which took basic training at nearby Camp Van Dorn in 1943.
Mildred Field of Centreville is in charge of the museum project and has appeared at 99th conventions.
She says the museum really needs money. She can been reached at 601-645-5930.
The museum also would like to have a large wall map of the route of the 99th in combat across Europe.
Those who served at Van Dorn should plan on visiting the museum, and making a meaningful cash contribution.
