Trzaskos

One of my ex-POW buddies who was in the 99th Division, Stanley Colby, told me about the Checkerboard. I have been trying for years to get some information about my cousin who was in the 99th and was killed.

His parents, my uncle and aunt, never were able to find anyone who could tell them how he was killed or other pertinent information. I was captured with the 106th Division in the Bulge. Apparently my cousin also was in the Bulge.

His name was Leonard J. Trzaskos T5, 99th Division, 393rd Reg. He was killed March 14, 1945, or March 23, 1945, in the area of Remagen Bridge.

I would like to hear from anyone who knew him or has information about his death. Unfortunately I do not know what company he was in.
