Tour canceled
Regretfully, the battlefield tour scheduled for May has been canceled.
Eddie Polk of Battlefield Tours underwent surgery on his neck and spine March 11 and will not be fully recovered in time for the tour.
"It has been a very rough three years. First Hurricane Katrina destroyed our home and business and had to be restored and now health issues," Polk said.
His doctors at Tulane University Hospital and Medical Center believe he will have a full recovery and after a six to eight-week rehabilitation should be able to plan a fall tour.
"I have been doing Battlefield Tours for 22 years. This was a very hard decision to make," he said. "I apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment."
