Robert F. Hutton
Robert F. Hutton
My brother, Robert F. Hutton, was a member of the 394th Regiment, 99th Infantry Division, killed in the closing days of World War II, April 7, 1945. He was a member of Rifle Company A. He arrived in Europe about February 1945. I have a letter from a chaplain saying he died in a surprise German attack near the small village of Harbecke, Germany, which is east of Cologne. I am searching for Army archival/historical records that would provide detailed data on the division and company activities for the period of time beginning with the Remagen Bridge crossing. Are such records available? How might I go about obtaining this kind of data?
