Postage pot is dry
The Checkerboard "postage pot" has been helpful for both editor Bill Meyer and membership director Donna Bernhardt.
It is a voluntary fund, unaudited, used for the many letters written daily which require stamps but are not charged in the regular accounting.
Larger postage amounts, such as priority mail and multiple letters, are paid for by the 99th. But most of the numerous first class letters are stamped by funds from the postage pot.
When the pot runs dry, as it is now, Donna and Bill dip into their own pockets — and don't mind doing so. But there are many members who have indicated they'd like to participate.
If so: send your check to Postage Pot, P.O Box 99, Marion KS 66861.
