Members who travel during the winter and summer months - "snow birds" - are urged to send their address changes to the Checkerboard.

The post office at Marion KS returns to the membership manager photocopies of Checkerboards that are "non-deliverable." Most come back with "temporarily away" stamped across the front. Each return costs the association 50c. Those returns that come back with an updated address are resent - by first class mail - another cost for the association.

The following newspapers have been returned "temporarily away" in the past few weeks:

      — Leslie Waggoner, C/395, Granger IN.

      — Joe Beadle, A/394, Syracuse IN.

      — Frank Smollon, K/393, Annapolis MD.

      — Harold Honaker, A/371, Barberton OH.

If anyone can update these addresses contact the membership manager, Donna Bernhardt, at PO Box 99, Marion KS 66861, or e-mail to donna@99div.com. Every attempt will be made to correct addresses and forward missing copies of the Checkerboard.
