Newmyer
I have been trying to locate a Saul or Sol Newmyer (may be spelled Neumyer) who served with the 395th Infantry, 99th Infantry Division, for a Bulge veteran. He supposedly came from Havre de Grace MD during WWII.
I have searched the casualty lists with negative results. I have searched the Social Security death index under all spellings with negative results. I have searched all the General Orders of the 99th and the 395th available in the National Archives looking for this person. I have checked Switchboard for a telephone listing with negative results.
I am wondering if he may be listed on the 99th Division Association roster. My next step is to check the business directories for Havre de Grace during and after WWII to see if I can come up with an address or parents in the area.
