Nephew seeks information
I am Canadian-born but really proud to say that I also have American relatives. A week or so ago I received a copy of my deceased uncle's honorable discharge papers from my aunt.
My uncle, Rosaire J. Boucher, was a Pfc. with Company I, 395th Infantry Regiment. I believe his nickname was "Butch." The discharge papers state that he had the Combat Infantryman Badge and that he was involved in the following battles and campaigns: Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Central Europe. He was given his honorable discharge at the Separation Center at Fort Devens MA, in November 1945.
I would like to ask if Company I, 395th was part of the 99th Division during WWII. Any information that you could share with me at this time in assisting me with my search would be appreciated.
