Nelson finds new member, 395th years ago

Sometimes it pays to go out and talk to outsiders about wartime experiences. I recently gave talks about the Battle of the Bulge and later events to two organizations — one an oil industry group and the other a church group.

I also made a long tape which will go to AARP headquarters in Washington, D.C., and then into the Archives of the Library of Congress.

My last talk was at Regis University in Denver CO. At an evening history class for students, the auditorium was packed with veterans and wives. I was one of four vets talking about the events at Remagen Bridge.

After it was over I was delighted to meet one of the audience members who was in the 395th Regiment and had never heard anything about us or the 99th organization.

I am enclosing a dues check for Stan Cohen, 6784 E. Cedar Ave., #101, Denver CO 80224.
