Member needs help
I am an associate member of the 99th and would like to find a list of the current membership of the 99th, especially from the World War II era, 1943-45, for a friend who served during the Battle of the Bulge.
He does not remember if he was in the 394th or 395th. He was wounded in the foot while fighting there, and his lieutenant did not get the chance to put in for his Purple Heart.
I would like to find some of his platoon buddies to help get him his medal that he deserves.
I may be in the Pittsburgh area soon and was wondering what the status of the 99th Division memorial was these days. I had hoped to see if it was built as of yet.
