Marks was in ASTP at Tarleton
Jack McElroy and Bob Mitch both wrote to the Checkerboard about Richard "Dick" Marks, who was mentioned in an article, "Honningen," in the 3rd issue.
Both know that Marks was in the ASTP at Tarleton College, Stephenville TX. His home address was 1221 N. 65th, Philadelphia PA.
McElroy wrote that Tim Nugent, E/395, did exhaustive research after the war finding Tarleton participants, but was unable to locate Marks.
"Marks was a member of our football team and I have pictures of him. I do not know his unit in the 99th," McElroy said.
