Life membership not for sale
Life membership not for sale
Many organizations put a price on becoming a "life member." Usually calculated on age, it is more expensive to younger members and less expensive to older members.
It is based on anticipated remaining life span. In the 99th, with all members being approximately the same age, it would be tough to anticipate the future.
The 99th Infantry Division Association has "life members." It's an honorary title, bestowed carefully. Usually there are no more than three to five life members. At the present time there are four.
While life members are not required to pay dues, there is no provision to purchase a life membership.
