     Your 2002 convention registration material for Pittsburgh PA is enclosed. We hope you are planning to attend the 53rd annual convention July 17-21, 2002.

     Arrange your lodging directly with the Hilton Pittsburgh. Please use the enclosed hotel registration card. Cutoff registration date for the discounted rate is JUNE 15, 2002. After that date you will pay the full rate, and the hotel may not have rooms available. MAKE YOUR RESERVATIONS NOW!!!

     Your convention registration form also is enclosed. READ IT CAREFULLY. CONVENTION REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS JUNE 15, 2002. After this date, registration fees increase to $15 per person. Please register early and use the enclosed return envelope for registration.

     Enjoy a "Just Ducky Tour" of Pittsburgh's points of interest in an authentic World War II amphibious craft. A Gateway Clipper Cruise and lunch buffet also will be offered.

     "Pittsburgh Night" will be held Thursday night, featuring a buffet dinner with foods unique to the Pittsburgh area. Following the buffet, the Checkerboard Chorus will conduct a sing-along.

     Following the memorial service Friday morning, you are invited to tour the renovated facilities of Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall, current home of the 99th Infantry Division museum. Following the tour, we will visit the new 99th Regional Command Headquarters and enjoy a catered lunch at the headquarters dining facility.

     Friday evening will feature a "welcome to Pittsburgh" social night with entertainment by the Slavjane Folk Ensemble, a younger folk group pattered after the Duquesne University Tambruitizans.

     Saturday's activities will include the business meeting along with the women's program which will feature a musical group featuring Daphne Alderson. The daughter of a U.S. Marine who served on Iwo Jima and Guam, she sings music from the 1930s, 40s, 50s, and 60s. The new 99th Regional Support Command Commander, MG Kennedy has been invited to speak at the banquet and the 99th 307th Army Band will provide musical entertainment.

     Also enclosed in this packet is an advertising sheet for the convention journal. Deadline for advertising is JUNE 1, 2002. You also will find more detailed information about the tours, parking options, and transportation to and from the airport.

     US Airways has been designated as the 99th Infantry Division Association official airline for 2002. A special fare will offer a 5% discount on First or Envoy Class and any published promotional round trip fare. A 10% discount off unrestricted fares will apply with 7-day advance reservations. Plan ahead and receive an additional 5% discount by ticketing 60 days or more prior to departure.
