Lester Berg

Lester Berg

I'm not sure where to look for information about my uncle, Lester A. Berg, who was a member of the 393rd Infantry. He was killed Jan. 5, 1945, on the Belgian front. He enlisted June 28, 1944, and was sent to Camp Croft for training. All family members have since died and I would like to be able to preserve his memory by providing my children with some type of information. He was raised on a small farm in northern Wisconsin (Sand Creek), and there is a gravestone. I am not sure if his body was returned.
