Larson seeks facts
Larson seeks facts I was hoping you can provide me with some information regarding some of the battles, skirmishes, etc., that my dad would have been involved in during his time with your division. He has told me he was with the 99th Infantry Division and I have the dates that he was with the division. I have his discharge papers and they list his departure date as Feb. 24, 1945, ETO arrival March 4, 1945. I know he was with the unit from arrival until the war ended. He has told me about the Rhine River bridge crossing and other towns, but can't remember names. After the war ended he became a military policeman and served with Company D, 26th Infantry, 1st Division as a guard at Nuremberg. Any information you could give me would be greatly appreciated.
