Kappaz' chef's hat preserved
My father, George Kappaz was from Detroit MI, and part of the 99th Infantry Division. He was a technical sergeant and cook. He died but I was hoping someone might remember him.
Additionally, as part of his spirit and humor, he wore a chef's hat, which he had a number of men from his unit sign. I am in possession of this chef's hat and the signatures are as clear as can be. I would be happy to provide a photo of this hat with the signatures if it would be of interest to anyone. I also could provide a list of the names. Each man also wrote the hometown they were from.
