John F. Marcum
My name is John Marcum and I am the grandson of John F. Marcum who served in the 99th Infantry, 394th Regiment, Company A, 4th platoon, during the Battle of the Bulge.
The purpose of my note is this. I am trying to locate morning reports for the dates of Dec. 16-18, 1944. My grandfather is trying to build a case for pension based on severe weather conditions faced during his service time and how it has impacted his long-term health. He has been told by the VA he needs documentation of this time frame.
I have been unsuccessful so far in locating this information for him and was hoping you may be able to point me in the right direction.
