Jarvis W. Smith
My name is Ira J. Smith and I am trying to get some information about my father, who died in 1983, the year that I joined the military.
I have a copy of his dd-214 and received his medals, but was informed that his service record was destroyed by the fire in the records vault at St. Louis MO.
I only remember a few things that he had told me when I was a child and my mother only can remember so much.
His name is Jarvis W. Smith. He served with the 99th Infantry Division and was honorably discharged. He was born, raised, and enlisted in Indiana.
