James S. Faller
My father, James S. Faller, was a member of the Third Battalion, 395th, 99th Infantry Division. He was indoctrinated at Camp Perry OH, and was from Toledo. According to the local paper in 1945, his unit took some heavy casualties. He received three Bronze Stars.
My father died at the age of 40, a few days before I was two years old. It is our belief that his early death was largely caused by his tour in the war. I am certain there are many men who found the same end. I really want to know more about his history but have had little luck in finding anything beyond a few scant details.
