I am trying to organize papers left to my husband from his mother's effects. As a Father's Day gift to him and in remembrance of his father, I am having J.B. Keltner's Purple Heart framed. His separation papers say he was in the 394th Anti-Tank Infantry and his uniform has the 99th Checkerboard patch on it. Is there any way to tell from his separation papers what company he was in? J.B. never spoke of his war experiences but we know from my husband's mother that he was wounded at the Battle of the Bulge. J.B. was from Tennessee.
