Herb Liening, Q/393 years ago
Herb Liening, Q/393 My father, Herb Liening, was in Hq Company 393rd of the 99th during the Battle of the Bulge. He told some stories about his experience on (and behind) the front and the defense of Krinkelt. He died several years ago and I would really like to hear from anyone who may have known him. I have a number of interesting and touching stories from my father, from pancakes in the treetops after blowing the field kitchen, to seeing enemy troops surround, enter, and wipe out an aid tent. I would be pleased to trade stories about that little piece of the war with anyone. Gene Liening E-mail:
