Harold Sanders
I am trying to find information about my grandfather's brother, Harold E. Sanders from Ladoga IN. He was killed in Belgium on March 15, 1945. My grandfather, who was at Pearl Harbor when it was attacked) never spoke much of him as I think the memories were too painful.
I was able to find a little bit of information from the American Battle Monuments Commission which located his grave at Henri-Chapelle Cemetery:
Harold E. Sanders, Private, U.S. Army, 395th Infantry Regiment, 99th Infantry Division. Entered the service from Indiana. Died March 15, 1945. Buried at: Plot F Row 10 Grave 31, Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Belgium. Awards: Purple Heart.
If anyone out there remembers him or has any information about which battalion he was a member, I would really appreciate hearing from them.
