Grandson wants to know about William Hornyak
My name is Todd Ungar. I am from Willowick OH, and my grandfather, William R. Hornyak was a member of the 99th Infantry Division. He died about three years ago and I would like to find out more about his locations during the war.
My grandmother doesn't seem to have too much information on where he was during active service or where he was kept as a POW. If you can point me in some direction to help I would sincerely appreciate it.
I also would like to add that I am a firefighter in the city of Willoughby OH, and I proudly display a Checkerboard logo on my fire helmet, right next to the American flag.
