Grandson wants to know about Cecil Hetrick

I am the grandson of S/Sgt. Cecil D. Hetrick, E/394, 99th Infantry Division. I'm wondering if anyone may have known him? He was awarded the Silver Star and Bronze Star during combat. The Bronze Star citation states he was leading a patrol when it came under German fire so I'm sure he was a pretty recognizable member of his company.

I was a Marine Corps NCO and I've never forgotten my staff NCOs and platoon leaders so I'm hoping someone who served with him will remember him.

He died in 159, of complications from diabetes. My father rarely spoke of him except from a few childhood recollections he had. My father was only 10 years old when my grandfather died.

I would like to know what type of man he was in combat and in general.
