GI helped 2nd Division comrade
Please accept this new subscription for Linus Gittemier. Like me, he was in the 2nd Indian Head Division. In 1944 Linus was an MP. He was hit by enemy artillery during the Battle of the Bulge and was bleeding badly when a GI from the 99th took his belt off and placed it on Linus' leg. There is a small chance this 99th GI would see this in the Checkerboard and remember it. Gittemier's address is 522 Plantmore Dr., Ferguson MO 63135.
