Friend needs help
I am looking for a little information for the family of a friend. His dad was 1st Lt. Spencer, a forward observer who was captured in the Battle of the Bulge. He was talking about his last days of being captured while calling in fire and hiding the radio because the Germans were demanding to know who the FO was He was a POW from December 1944 to April 1945 in Nurenberg. He has the Bronze Star as well as a Purple Heart from being wounded before capture.
I served eight years in the infantry from 1987-1995, and am a combat vet from the 1989 invasion of Panama as well as serving an extended tour in Desert Storm.
