Ed Logan, B/393 years ago

Ed Logan, B/393

I am doing research on my grandfather, Otis "Ed" Logan. He was in B/393, 99th Division, Platoon 449. He was captured Dec. 16, 1944, during the Battle of the Bulge in or around the Losheim Gap area.

My grandfather was part of a 60m m mortar crew. He was in a foxhole where a hand grenade exploded, killing one of the men. He was tending to one of the other men when he looked up to see Germans pointing their guns at them. He was taken to a POW camp near Stuttgard, Germany. I believe he also was at Normandy. And he was stationed at Camp Van Dorn MS.

He died March 13, 1986. He was married at the time of the war, with five children at home. He was from Biglerville PA.

I am looking for anyone who might have known him and if there was a roster of all B/393 men, I would like to have a copy of that and would be glad to pay for it.
