E/393 information needed
Art Korn, E/393, had his granddaughter write a 23-page essay on his experiences in World War II and said he could have written more.
He would appreciate a list of the towns which E/393 went through in combat, especially the last week in April and the first week in May.
He came to the 99th from the 4th Division.
Art says his first day in combat with E Co. they crossed the Danube. He recalls a group of black GIs were nearby. Later, during Army of Occupation duties, "we often shared our meals with those guys."
