Dr. Edwin Nelson honored in Nebraska
Dr. Edwin Nelson, G/393, has received high recognition in the state of Nebraska. He was named the "Citizen of the Century" in the field of education by the Star-Herald newspaper in Chadron, NE.
After returning to civilian life, following service in the 99th, he became a teacher and school coach. Eventually he earned college degrees, including a doctorate and climbed the ladder to president of Chadron State College. Eventually he became president of the Nebraska College Board of Trustees.
