Documentary planned
To the Editor:
On behalf of Christian Frey I would thank you very much for your help in conducting interviews of 99th Division veterans concerning their experiences during the Battle of the Bulge in 1944 during the Norfolk Convention. As Frey told me, the interviews gave him an extensive insight in what it meant to be a soldier at that time. We are sure that the testimonies of the 99th Infantry Division veterans will be an important part of the documentary.
We still are busy filming and interviewing and we will finish the documentary at the end of the year. It will be broadcast in Germany in spring 2004. At the moment it is not yet decided when it will be shown in the United States.
