Wednesday, July 19, 10:45 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Enjoy a fully guided tour of Philadelphia. America's fifth largest city is a cosmopolitan "small town" resplendent with great historical sites, cultural institutions, bejeweled with dozens of public works of art and extraordinary examples from 300 years of American architecture. During your tour of Philadelphia, you will become familiar with the Birthplace of American Independence, Penn's "City of Brotherhood," stretching from the Delaware to the Schuylkill River. Aboard your coach and during your walking tour, your guide will introduce you to the political, social, and economic history of Philadelphia by informal and informative narrative. You will follow the city's 19th century growth westward. Along Walnut Street you will see the Walnut Street theatre (the oldest continuous-use English language theatre in the world); the exclusive Philadelphia Club headquarters and City Hall (the largest municipal building in the U.S.). You will drive through the City's most elegant shopping and dining area, passing Tiffany and Co., Burberrys Limited, and Restaurant Row en route to Rittenhouse Square, Penn's original southwest park, now one of Philadelphia's most prestigious residential addresses. You will ride along the spectacular Benjamin Franklin Parkway, home to many of the City's great cultural institutions, including the Museum of Art, the Free Library, the Franklin Institute, and the Academy of Natural Sciences. Throughout the tour, you will be provided with interesting trivia about Philadelphia's past, present, and future. Your guide also will point out important recreational, cultural, and social sites, such as the Museum steps Rocky ran up in the first movie of Sylvester Stallone's famous series, and much more. Cost is $15 per adult, $10 per child.

Thursday, July 20, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Visit the Gambling mecca of the east. The colors and spirit of New Orleans spring alive in Atlantic City's most unique themed property - the Showboat Casino-Hotel. The hotel features free jazz band, blues, and Dixieland entertainment, trios performing classics and contemporary songs in the hotel lobby, seven restaurants and snack bars, and 3,500 slot machines. You do not have to gamble - you can tour the casino, buy salt water taffy and fudge, walk the boardwalk and view the ocean, visit the Taj Mahal Casino-Hotel next door or other casinos along the boardwalk. You must be 21 years of age to gamble. If you intend to bring children or grandchildren on this trip, please mark the number on the registration form so seating on the bus can be provided for them. Children can accompany you in the casino but not the gambling area. They can visit the Showboat video arcade or bowling center, snack bar and pizzeria, and enjoy the entertainment. There is no charge for children under 21 years of age. Cost for this casino trip is $20 per adult. You will receive a voucher for $10 at the casino that may be redeemed for cash.
