Checkerboard is important

My father was Dale O. Brown and he was a member of the 99th.

Dad died March 9, 2006, and I find the 99th is more important to me as time passes. I have fond memories of attending reunions in Washington, D.C., Pittsburgh, Louisville, and Cincinnati. Sid Salins was a dear friend, as well as many others who are now gone.

I will enjoy receiving the Checkerboard as Dad enjoyed it for so long.
