Camp Maxey book available
I have a copy of the book from the 99th Infantry Division, Camp Maxey TX. Major General Walter E. Lauer signed a letter in the front of the book, dated 26 Feb. 1944. There are lots of photos of commanders. It also contains a photo of Joe Louis in the sports section.
Also enclosed is a certificate of graduation, school for special service, for Jesse G. Moore, 1st Lt. Inf., dated 13 Dec. 1943, signed by William H. Quarterman, Col., FA.
Is anyone interested in this piece of history? I live in Ocala FL, and retired from the U.S. Army in 1969 after 22 years of service.
