Boyd 'Bill' Spencer
Nephew wants facts about uncle
I am looking for information about my uncle, Pvt. Boyd (Bill) Spencer of Belmont NC. His discharge records show that he was with the 27th Hq and Hq Detachment Special Troops of the First Army. He went to the Ardennes in October 1944.
We have letters that he wrote from Belgium, that say he was in the 99th Infantry Division. He returned to the States in July 1945. I need all the information concerning anyone who may have known Bill or the troop movements of the 99th during the Battle of the Bulge.
