Biggio wins art contest

Carlo Biggio (Col. USA ret) is an artist who enjoys the hobby. Recently he entered a juried art exhibit in Arlington VA.

His work, "Portrait of the Artist and his Wife at 84," took the top award, which included $100 cash and ample recognition.

He was an officer in the 155 FA Bn. of the 99th and stayed in the Army until he retired as an 0-6 colonel. Carlo and his wife, Winnie, have attended many conventions and look forward to this year when it will be in their own back yard. He often has prepared articles for the Checkerboard and spoke at conventions about artillery actions during World War II.
