Big shoes to fill

It is with much excitement that I pen this note and include with it the enclosed check. I have been wanting to join the 99th Infantry Division Association for many months.

It has been an honor and a privilege to have spoken with several veterans of the 99th. A few have shared extremely valuable information that appears to have originated from the association. Would it be possible to request copies of any past newsletters or other information?

Cousin Ervin Snyder was an L/394 infantry soldier who was killed Jan. 15, 1945, on patrol. I am trying to recover his body. If he were alive today, I'm sure he would be a member of the association. His shoes, as well as all the rest of the 99th comrades' shoes, are larger than life and way too big for me to fill. You are never forgotten.
