Bennie Shapiro My name is Paul Shapiro. Bennie Shapiro was my father. He died in 1964 when I was 12 years old. Because of my young age, I never really talked to my dad about his war history. I found your website and am extremely interested in learning more about my dad. I have the original telegram sent to my family stating he was missing in action in the Battle of the Bulge. He was found weeks later by one of the black segregated platoons. I would like to attend the Kentucky convention. Thanks for your help. This is a dream come true for me.
