B/324 Eng. veterans asked to respond
My uncle, Merton Orr B/324th Combat Engineer Bn., died in 1989. He and his wife Mabel had no children. He and I were extremely close but he related little of his experiences to me, though he did give me a wonderful book by Maj. Gen. Walter E. Lauer titled "Battle Babies," published in 1951.
I would love to share it should anyone care to. Additionally, I would most like to talk with anyone who may have known Mert.
