Association's Checkerboard is the best
I received my end-of-the year Checkerboard and the first thing I noticed was the front page letter, "Checkerboard is taken to task."
I have a hard time understanding that letter, bashing the Checkerboard, from a former Medic, because I have said many times to different people that the 99th Infantry Division publication is the best association publication in the United States. And I say that as a former editor of my own Korean War Division Association publication, of which I was the editor for several years.
Perhaps the letter writer should be excused for his outburst because, after all, he is 81 years old. I am only 80 and have a year to go before reaching that ripe old age.
