99th patch continues to protect world freedom years ago

An appreciated letter from Fred Fair of New Castle PA, includes a print-out of the Army Reserve web site's main page showing that the Checkerboard patch continues in the quest for world freedom. The 99th patch was in action again in Afghanistan.

The article, with photo of Spc. Kristina Kennedy, an Army Reserve medic wearing the 99th Checkerboard Patch, illustrates an article on the role of the reserve medics from the 339th Combat Support Hospital, a unit of the 99th RSC on duty in the war.

Fair is a member of the Association of the 99th Infantry Division museum committee and former Command Sergeant Major of the 99th.
