99th contingent needed for Memorial Day parade years ago

There will be a 99th Infantry Division unit in the Memorial Day parade in Washington, D.C., complette with our own genuine Army jeep for those who would have difficulty with the 14-block walk down Independence Avenue.

Organized by MP T/Sgt. Arnold Taylor and Col. Charles Biggio, about six in the D.C. area have signed up to participate. More are being sought.

The parade begins at the United States Capitol at 9 a.m. May 30, and ends at 14th Street, near the Washington Monument, beyond which is the World War II Monument, which was dedicated last year.

More 99th Infantry Division members are welcome. If you can be there, contact Arnold Taylor at 202-547-7962 or e-mail ahnoldt@aol.com.

You will join him, Col. Biggio, Col. Sam Lombardo, Lafe Reef Edmunds, and possibly Harry McCracken and Wilbur Young in a happy march behind a 99th Infantry Division banner and the flag for which we fought.

Contact Taylor NOW to make arrangements.
